Scheduled billing server downtime
There will be three instances of downtime for the Phantasy Star Universe billing servers this week as they undergo some firmware upgrades. During this time, PC/PS2 players will not be able to log in to the game or access the billing site. However, if you are already online when the maintenance begins, you should be able to continue to play uninterrupted as long as you do not log out. The downtime schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, October 28 - 7:00-9:00a.m. GMT
- Wednesday, October 29 - 6:00-10:00a.m. GMT
- Thursday, October 30 - 7:00-9:00a.m. GMT

Consolidating the universes
October 24's update made the universe just a little bit smaller, as both the PC/PS2 and Xbox 360 servers have received a reduction in their total number of universes. The PC/PS2 side was taken from 18 down to 10 universes, while the Xbox 360 side went from 30 to 20. Aside from that, each universe now has a unique name based on various constellations.
