Important news regarding The PSUPedia
Due to the challenging economic climate and significant changes within the online videogame information database industry, The PSUPedia has made the decision to consolidate its wiki business in order to continue delivering timely information and focusing on big-name IP such as Phantasy Star Zero, Phantasy Star Eternal Planets, Phantasy Star Eternal Hunters and the Phantasy Star Portable franchise. This realignment of the business around existing and forthcoming IP is a necessity to ensure that The PSUPedia continues to invest and enhance its digital game information offering, whilst reducing its reliance on Phantasy Star Universe.
As a result of The PSUPedia Board decision to consolidate the business, many of our internal functions will be re-structured and this could result in a number of redundancies within the editing business across the wiki. The company will be entering into a re-structure phase to reflect the unprecedented change in our industry and to move the company forward appropriately. Unfortunately, many staff members have been laid off as a result of this re-structuring, including EspioKaos and essen. Moving forward, all necessary localization work will be handled using a number of online databases and automated translation services.
The changes will position The PSUPedia as a content led organisation, maximising information with a strong and balanced wiki portfolio across both current and forthcoming games. The management team are confident that the proposed restructure will benefit the company and make it fit for purpose within the changing nature of the industry over the coming years.
