Advanced Type

Android

Refers to Casts, one of the four races found in PSU.

ATA

Accuracy. See ATA.

ATP

Attack power. See ATP.

B

Barta

Refers to either:

• The family of Ice-based Techniques.
• The basic Technique in that family, Barta.

Beast

Refers to 4th race, Beasts.

Buff

One of a number of TECHNICS which enhance the stats of allies within their casting range. Examples include Shifta, Deband, Retier, and Zodial.

Buff Party

Parties named or described as "Buff party" are parties where players will cast buff TECHs on each other. The aim of this is so that players can raise their Buff TECHs much faster.

Colony

Refers to the Guardians' Colony.

Cast

Android Race, see Casts.

D

Debuff

Refers to TECHNICS which lower the stats of enemies within the spells' casting range. Examples include Jellen, Zalure, and Zoldeel.

DFP

Defense points. Refer to DFP.

END

Refers to Endurance. See END.

EVP

Evasion points. See EVP.

F

Foie

Refers to either:

• The family of Fire-based Techniques.
• The basic Technique in that family, Foie.

Force

Mage/Priest archetypical class. See Force.

GRM

Popular weapons manufacturer based on the planet Parum. See GRM.

GUARDIANS Colony

Colony where all races are equal. See GUARDIANS Colony.

Gurhal Star System

Solar system where PSU takes place. See Gurhal Star System.

Human

Well-rounded race. See Humans.

Hunter

Tank/Melee archetypical class. See Hunter.

Killer Shot.

Megid

Refers to the high level dark spell, which has the possibility of causing instant death. Other spells in the -megid family (such as Ramegid or Damegid) do not have this capability.

Moatoob

Desert planet inhabited mainly by Beasts. See Moatoob.

MST

Mental Strength. See MST. Also an abbreviation for Meseta.

N

Nanoblast

Special racial ability only usable by Beasts. Involves a transformation into a more animalistic form. See Nanoblast.

Neudaiz

Planet inhabited mainly by Newmans. Center of the Communion of Gurhal. See Neudaiz.

Newman

Technique-oriented race. See Newmans.

P

PA

Short for Photon Arts, the special attacks of the game. See Photon Arts, Skills, Bullets and Techniques.

Parum

Planet inhabited mainly by CASTs. See Parum.

PP

Photon Points, which is used as ammo for guns and energy for Skills and Techniques. See PP.

Ranger

Archer archetypical class. Supports with element-augmented ranged weaponry. See Ranger.

Ra

The pre-fix on the first level multi target TECHNICs. See Technics.

RBZ

Renkai-buyou-zan.

Resta

The basic healing spell, which can be cast by Forces.

SDJZ

Shifta, Deband, Jellen and Zalure. Refers to the buff/debuff system in PSO which is suspected to remain. See Techniques.

SE

Status effect.

SUV

Racial ability usable by Casts, blitzing the enemy with satellite based weaponry. See SUV and SUV Weapon.

T

TAP

Technique Attack Power. See TAP.

Technique/TECHNIC

PSU's equivalent of Spells. See Techniques and Photon Arts.

Type

In PSU, classes or ranks are named "Type". In other MMORPGs a class such as; Warrior or Mage, would be called a Type in PSU.

Z

Zonde

Either refers to:

• The family of Lightning-based Techniques.
• The basic spell in that family, Zonde.
