quite a few mission with one friend with item distribution on "set random." On many and many of those missions, the rare item picked up seems to have slight favor towards the player with higher luck level. On a few missions, my friend would would have luck level one, and I would have no luck, and if 3 rares appeared, he'd get 2 in a row. a couple quests, he got them all. This didn't seem to just favor him, as on a day where I had a luck level and he did not, I seemed to get most of the rares. This doesn't seem to be noticeable when playing with more members, like 4-6, as there are many more members for the rare to pick. I've noticed this only when playing with 2-3 members. Another interesting note, whenever I did get the rare item in a low-luck situation, it would often be a fairly common rare item, such as Kubara Wood, or a synth board for MoonX or Star Atomizer. Sorry if that was a bit too long, just an idea to throw out there. User: ~Teh

PM Luck?

  • Private Machinery Luck? Does such a thing exist? Today, my (Sword) PM has a Luck level of 3. Should we add on a new column for PMs?
  • Well, they do have it. Not even sure why, but anyway, they use the same Luck as female Casts. ^^; - Tycho

Stuff

  • That is awesome! They finally made luck into what is was always suposed to be! Ok, so basically, your character gets the same amount of luck for the whole day? That's nice :D Is it sure that it affects item synth and stuff like that?
  • From what I know, it doesn't affect synthesis. I'll add the grinding tables though. - Tycho
  • If I've heard correctly, PMs are always considered female Casts for the purposes of Luck. - Miraglyth 23:18, 20 November 2006 (PST)

Not-so-random item distribution?

  • This may or may not be false, but it's an idea that's flew into my head after doing

Universal Luck

  • It seems apparent that Luck is universal accross all shards - JP PC/PS2 Worlds 1 and 2, EN PC/PS2 and Xbox 360 all seem to have the same Luck as the others every day. This brings about two points of interest for this part of PSUPedia:
    • There was definitely known Luck on the 24th for the PC/PS2 servers which is currently unrecorded on this site. Using JP records it would be possible to "recover" these.
    • Considering JP's servers are 17 hours ahead of the EN servers, a "Tomorrow's Luck" section for PSUPedia becomes viable.
Thoughts on all this? - Miraglyth 17:46, 16 November 2006 (PST)
  • Oh crap, you're actually right. I hadn't looked into the issue anymore ever since due to mistakes the 10-25 entry was listed differently. Awesome stuff. - Tycho 00:07, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • I'm in a bit of a hurry, but I've tried to adapt the templates. Satisfactory, or would it be better in a different way? - Tycho 00:45, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Lookin' fine. - Miraglyth 04:35, 17 November 2006 (PST)
Actually two things have just come to my attention:
The latter might be fixable at my end but for now it's somewhat annoying. - Miraglyth 04:42, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Okay, fixed. On a sidenote, anyone should be able to improve the templates, right? - Tycho 09:16, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Probably. But that assumes I knew how! The table itself contains no discernable formatting so - likely with the room decoration tables - it's something setting elsewhere I need to learn how to find. - Miraglyth 14:39, 17 November 2006 (PST)
