Lobbies refer to any open area in Phantasy Star Universe where players are able to interact with one another as well as prepare for and accept missions. Two types of lobbies exist in the game: main lobbies, often referred to as cities, and field lobbies, which act as check points between missions.
Main lobbies
There are four main city lobbies spread across Gurhal, each having their own GUARDIANS branch, shopping district and various mission counters.
- Clyez City on the GUARDIANS Colony
- Holtes City on Parum
- Ohtoku City on Neudaiz
- Dagora City on Moatoob
Field lobbies
Numerous field lobbies are located around the GUARDIANS Colony and three planets of the Gurhal System. Each of these lobbies offers an item vendor where various consumable items can be purchased as well as a mission counter where new missions, when available, can be selected.
Lobby transport
A new feature introduced by Ambition of the Illuminus is the ability to transport from a main lobby to any previously-visited field lobby. Simply speak with one of the lobby attendants, select "standard flight," and choose your destination. Note that there is a small fee associated with this service. However, if a player is a member of a party that is already in a field lobby, they will be able to travel to that lobby for free as long as "special flight" is selected. In addition, this feature is also available to those who do not currently own the expansion.
This table lists all field lobbies that are currently available (lobbies that will be unlocked at a later time are highlighted in blue) as well as what main lobby they can be reached from along with the associated fee for transportation. Keep in mind that certain lobbies are exclusive to Ambition of the Illuminus. These are marked with the appropriate icon.
