Talk:Phantom Fissure
From PSU Cyril Wiki
You're Fire(d)!
Someone would ask it eventually so let's get it out of the way: "It wasn't called Fire in PSO, so why isn't this article Cave of Illusion" - Simulated random curious person 10:11, 8 April 2008 (CDT)
- I say we rename it to match the literal translation: Fire Hole of Illusion! <_< I am expecting the localization to be "Caves of Illusion," but I'm holding on to a little hope that it'll turn out otherwise. I'd like a little variation in these rare free missions instead of them all being "... of Illusion." - EspioKaos 10:18, 8 April 2008 (CDT)
- I'm surprised it isn't Cave in the Japanese. When I was describing the update earlier in IRC I did call it 'Flamepit of Illusion' somewhere along the line. I think Fires of Illusion is a better name though... In any case, I suppose the idea of Fire Hole of Illusion will limit it to Cave 1 - the crappiest most boring part of Caves :( - Mewn 10:37, 8 April 2008 (CDT)
- Ah, so it's only a part of Cave, huh. This would also settle a query I made on the boards earlier (about how they were going to deal with multiple area visuals e.g. the waterfall room in Cave 2). Espio's probably got a point here in that the localization will PSOify it instead of going literal, which would be a disappointment if it does only use the Cave 1 scenery. Still, it would be strangely fitting since the "Cave boss" of PSU (De Rolei, sorry, De Rol Le) suffered the same translation fate. - Miraglyth 11:33, 8 April 2008 (CDT)
- From the 5 minutes I spent playing MAG on the Japanese servers, the onyl Caves map I saw was the lava room, so that might indeed be the only map for Caves. Though I can't believe they would have passed up the waterfall room... --Beatrixkiddo 14:00, 8 April 2008 (CDT)
- A Chill comment suggested that the localized name for this mission may in fact be Phantom Fissure. Of course, it's probably a good idea to take that with a pinch of salt until evidence proves it to be true. - Mewn 11:08, 18 June 2008 (CDT)
- Saw that, too. I'm hoping it turns out to be the official name for the mission. It'd be a nice change from the "...of Illusion" pattern the Japanese versions are stuck with. - EspioKaos 12:12, 18 June 2008 (CDT)
Double Agito drop
- This image I found on the JP uploader appears to be drop logs from Fires of Illusion. Anyone who can read katakana can see that [B] Double Agito (基板/ダブルアギト) appears several times but [B] Sweet Death doesn't. For whatever reason, it appears Grass Assassins really do drop Double Agito in that mission. Possible drop change from 125-149? Or maybe this mission is special. - Mewn 07:45, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
- I've been hoping that a similarly curious JP player will notice this and round up some folks to play The Egg Thieves (the only other place with Grass Assassins in the LV125-149 range) to see if they now drop [B] Double Agito. Of the possibilities this presents, I'm hoping it's merely a drop change and not a special drop for this mission alone. Oh, and on a similar note, I saw that on the Japanese wiki, someone listed [B] Arb Biso as dropping from Nava Luddas on B. By our current tables, this drop should be [B] B'duki Magana. I wonder if this could be another possible change? - EspioKaos 11:30, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
