Random restrictions
Throughout the mission, you will come across five sets of two switches each. In order to proceed, one of the switches must be pressed. Upon doing so, a temporary restriction will be put in place. The following chart displays the restrictions that each switch has a chance of giving you. Switch sets identified as first and second are ones found in hallways, where first represents the initial switch you walk up to upon entering the hall. All other switches are identified as left and right.
Switch | Restrictions | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
First | First | Claws | Handguns | Fire TECHNICs |
Second | Swords | Rods | TCSMs | |
Second | First | Twin daggers | Twin handguns | Lightning TECHNICs |
Second | Twin sabers | Whips | RCSMs | |
Third | Left | Sabers | Longbows | Ice TECHNICs |
Right | Laser cannons | Crossbows | Dark TECHNICs | |
Fourth | Left | Twin claws | Rifles | Cards |
Right | Knuckles | Light TECHNICs | Items | |
Fifth | First | Axes | Daggers | Ground TECHNICs |

Sealed stone locations
By locating and destroying the sealed stones that are scattered about the field, you can increase the number of clear boxes that appear at the end of the mission. Furthermore, if all ten stones are destroyed, access will be granted to a boss battle against Alterazgohg. Keep in mind that the locations of the sealed stones changes between two patterns depending on the current date. Odd-numbered days of the month follow one pattern, while even-numbered days use the other pattern.

Sealed stones | 0-2 | 3-5 | 6-8 | 9 | 10 |

Determining the correct pattern
This mission features two patterns of sealed stone locations. Depending on which version of the game you're playing (either Japanese PC/PS2 or Xbox 360), there are slightly different ways to determine which pattern you should follow to find all 10 stones.
If you're playing the Japanese PC/PS2 version, simply reference the current date in Japan. If the calendar date is an odd number, the sealed stones will follow pattern 1. If the date is an even number, the locations will follow pattern 2.
If you're playing the Xbox 360 version however, the pattern you receive will change randomly each time you begin the mission. In order to determine your pattern, as you enter the first room, immediately turn left and walk to the corner. Rotate the camera around so that it allows you to see the entrance (as if the camera is against the west wall). If you see an orange square plate on the column in the wall, then you have pattern 2. If you do not see this plate, you have pattern 1.
Pattern 1
If you are playing the Japanese PC/PS2 version of this mission, this pattern applies to odd-numbered days of the month.
Block 1
- In the second room, go through the southern door to enter a room with four Ageeta and three boxes. Destroy the boxes and scan the area with your goggles to locate the stone.
- From the second room, climb the stairs to find a path lined with three traps. Reach the end of the path (where you will see four boxes) without triggering or destroying the traps and the second sealed stone will appear behind the boxes.
- Descend the stairs into the third room. Look behind the staircase to locate the third stone.
- After defeating the enemies in the fifth room, take the warp in front of the screens. This will transport you to a catwalk where you will see six boxes in front of you. Do not destroy the boxes, otherwise the sealed stone will not appear. On either side of the warp are standing screens; walk through the one to the east of the warp. The fourth sealed stone is located at the base of the next screen you come to.
Block 2
- In the second room, there is an arrow sign on the wall directly in front of the entrance. Defeat the Bal Sozas here, and then have one party member run the U-shape of the room in the direction the arrow is pointing. Make sure to touch the wall at the top of the U to register running the full length. Repeat this process a total of seven times and the fifth stone will appear on the floor below the sign.
- Turn left in the hallway after the U-shaped room. This will lead to a dark room. Do not turn the light on, otherwise the stone will not appear. As you enter the room, turn to your left and head for the southeast corner. You will see a panel on the floor. Destroy it to locate the sixth sealed stone.
- On the mezzanine level where you will find the second key, you will see a panel on the wall on either side of the room. Destroy these, then look across the way (toward the water column). On the opposite mezzanine is the seventh sealed stone. You will need a long-range weapon to reach it.
- The last stone of this block is in the final room. It can be difficult to see, but it is located on the blue glass on the south side. Shoot up to destroy it.
Block 3
- In the dark room to the west of the block's entrance lies the ninth sealed stone. It will be visible only if you are in the hallway before the room. Shoot it with a long-range weapon, then defeat the enemies. If the enemies are defeated before the stone is destroyed, the stone will disappear.
- The tenth stone is located in the room directly to the north of the dark room. Destroy the two boxes at each end to make it appear. If over five minutes have passed since entering block 3, this stone will not appear.
Pattern 2
If you are playing the Japanese PC/PS2 version of this mission, this pattern applies to even-numbered days of the month.
Block 1
- In the first room, destroy a mark on the pillar to the left of the entrance to make the sealed stone appear. Make sure to destroy the stone before defeating all of the enemies, otherwise the stone will disappear.
- In the dark room after the second set of switches, destroy a mark on the floor in the corner to the right of the entrance to make the sealed stone appear. Do not turn the light on beforehand, or the stone will not appear.
- After opening the gate with the first key, go through the fence on the right (past the warp) and use your goggles to reveal the last stone of the block.
Block 2
- The fourth stone is located above the exit door of the U-shaped room where you find the third set of switches. To be able to see it you must be inside the corridor, close enough to the door to make it open. The stone is located on top of the door.
- Following that corridor, turn right and take the warp. Hit the bottom of the pillar on the top of the room to destroy the stone.
- The last stone is in the last room of the block. First you have to break the boxes in front of the fourth pair of switches. Then everyone in the party must go into the exit door. Someone can then look back to where the boxes were before and shoot the sixth stone.
Block 3
- Upon entering this block, the stone will appear above the entrance door.
- You have three minutes after entering the block to go upstairs, take the key and turn back where you will find the stone. It is located between the key and the poison traps.
- When you reach the large room past the locked fence (not the small room just after it, but the second room after), take great care not to kill enemies. You must lure those enemies to each corner of the room in order to light the torches. Use the first spawn to light the right two corners, then kill it. Then use the second spawn to light the two left corners and the stone will appear in the center of the room.
- The final stone is located in the last room. It will appear only if no moving traps were triggered or destroyed anywhere.
