Japanese PC server closure announcement

• It has been announced that the Japanese PC game servers will be closing at 23:59:59 JST on Thursday, September 27, 2012, effectively ending all online support for Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus.
• Starting at 17:00 JST on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, you will no longer be able to purchase a GUARDIANS License, game key or Illuminus game key.
• Following the end of maintenance on Thursday, August 30, 2012, all players will have access to premium course features until the end of service, even if they had not purchased a GUARDIANS License.
• At 23:59:59 JST on Thursday, September 27, 2012, all online services will end, new PSU IDs will no longer be able to be created and GUARDIANS Cash will no longer be available for purchase.
• For anyone with GUARDIANS Cash remaining on their account, a service to either convert this to Arks Cash for use in Phantasy Star Online 2 or to have it refunded as WebMoney will begin. Details will be announced after online services for Phantasy Star Universe have ended.
• August is the last month that charges will be withdrawn from accounts of players with automatically renewing monthly GUARDIANS Licenses.
• Following server closure, only the PS2 version of story mode will be accessible.

• The following bonuses will be in place until the game servers close at 23:59:59 JST on September 27, 2012:
  • Half-price clothes and parts (Meseta purchases only)
  • Free Lumilass services (excluding Hairstyle and Body Style Tickets)
  • Daily Vol Coin allowance x20
  • Boosted PA EXP payout
  • Daily Stamp allowance x3
  • Boosted EXP (excluding in rare missions)
  • Boosted drop rates (excluding rare and GC missions)
  • Megaholy fortune for all races
  • Synthesis success rates +20%
  • Grinding success rates +15%
  • Doubled AMP payout from GAMs

Seasonal lobbies

• Fireworks will light up the night sky over Ohtoku City until maintenance begins on August 9.

Updated missions

• Difficulty S4 has been added to Plains Overlord.
• Difficulty S4 has been added to Desert Goliath.

Item updates

• GC Shop's "Evening Breeze Gacha" has been replaced by "..."
• Fireworks and De Ragan's Breath will be on sale at item vendors until the game servers close on September 27.
• Casino Voloyal's exchange counter has been updated with the normal rotation of room decorations.
