Revision as of 03:34, 2 August 2008
The Maximum Attack event from Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst is back and will be coming to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PC, and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system servers on April 25! In order to participate in this event, you must have the Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus expansion.
Data uncovered on the mystery planet Rykros is encrypted within a battle simulation of unknown origin. The GUARDIANS have been tasked to enter the virtual world contained in this ancient artifact to combat swarms of creatures and unlock the data. The forest, caves, and mine stages from PSO are back, and you might just run into some familiar heroes.
We will be keeping track of the total number of creatures each GUARDIAN helps defeat, and limited prizes can be acquired through luck, speed, or perseverance. Everyone will have to work together to reach the 100 million creature goal, and other rewards for all participating players will be unlocked throughout the event.[1]

Event overview
Maximum Attack G is an event based around a battle simulator called "Maximum Attack" which was discovered on Rykros. Scientists and researchers have been successful in reconstructing the simulator, but there is one final block they can't seem to bypass. The only way to move past this last obstacle is by defeating 100,000,000 enemies in the simulator. All willing and able Guardians are being called upon to work together in reaching this goal!
Event extension
Due to numerous PC/PS2 users receiving error 065 (which prevented players from logging in) during the event, Maximum Attack G has been extended by three weeks. The total kill count from the initial event will carry over to the second event allowing everyone to continue to work toward the ultimate goal of 200 million kills, though new kill count and time attack leader boards will begin, giving those who fell victim to error 065 a chance at getting their hands on rare items like the Spread Needle/G.
The Maximum Attack G extension began August 1, 2008, and will run through August 21.
Event missions
Four missions were available during the run of this event. While playing the free missions, players benefited from a 250% increase to both drop rates and enemy EXP payout.
Rewards
As the event progressed, points were earned based on the number of enemies killed in the event missions. These points were totaled and then used to unlock special event bonuses such as in-game rewards and extra event mission content.
