Rangers are the ranged specialist class of Phantasy Star Universe. They are highly skilled in the use of Ranged Weapons and also have some skill with Melee Weapons. The role of a Ranger in PSU is largely support, rather than direct damage-dealing, using their special Photon Art abilities known as Bullets in order to inflict Status Effects upon enemies.
+ Excel at range combat, thanks to their aptitude with ranged weapons and ATA.
+ Apt at melee combat; their ATA may make them better at melee combat than Hunters.
- Cannot use Techniques.
- Cannot take or deal as much damage as Hunters can.
