(Submitted Request List)
(I thought I had more to add. Maybe I'll think of more later.)
Line 1: Line 1:
After noticing the current workflow on the wiki, I thought it would be alot easier if frequent editors and PSUPedia staff, made requests here for any programming/technical tasks that need to be carried out on the wiki. Of course, current discussion pages can still be used, this page is just for tasks of more importance/urgency. i.e Security, Patches, User Features, etc.

On top of everything going on in each of our lives outside of Phantasy Star, we've got quite a bit on our plates as far as what needs to be done here at the PSUPedia.  As such, we should try to organize everything that needs to be done here so that it won't get lost under new projects and the like. If you have any additions you'd like to make to this list, please feel free.

So simply state the task you want done, (fully explaining it), and leave your signature, if the request is approved, I'll message you shortly to either let you know of its completion or difficulties I had fulfilling your request.

* Optimization of long pages (can be found here Special:Longpages), can they be broken down? These tend to bring some overhead to the wiki's processing queues. --dreamXG 22:12, 18 June 2007 (BST)

** Most of the "Long Pages" seem to be pages with significant amounts of data in tables.  If you really want a performance increase (and to simultaneously increase readability of the site), the wiki should probably be split into "Online" and "Offline" versions.  Possibly, the "Offline" version could be relocated to http://offline.psupedia.info/. That would cut down a lot of these pages to a reasonable size. --Toshimo 21:15, 30 June 2007 (BST)

Revision as of 00:29, 10 November 2007

On top of everything going on in each of our lives outside of Phantasy Star, we've got quite a bit on our plates as far as what needs to be done here at the PSUPedia. As such, we should try to organize everything that needs to be done here so that it won't get lost under new projects and the like. If you have any additions you'd like to make to this list, please feel free.

To-do list

Site navigation

 • We need to make a better navigation system for the site; something a little more concise, but still easily navigable.

General standardization

 • A number of articles still need to either be renamed to match the standardization set forth by the manual of style or have their entire contents reworked to match.
 • Existing weapon, line shield, unit, etc. articles need to all have the proper templates put into use. Also, such articles that have not been created need to be created. (Not all information needs to be filled out immediately; that can be collected later. The important part is having the style in place so that things are easier to add.)
 • Mission articles need to be created to utilize the new style. (As with the weapon articles, not everything needs to be filled in from the start. Data can be collected later.)

Suggestions

If you have any suggestions for improvements to the PSUPedia, please categorize them under this heading. Also remember to sign your comments.

Offline information

 • I know it's not a top priority for us, but for when we can get around to working on an offline data section, would it be possible to have it placed in a subdirectory of the site such as offline.psupedia.info? Toshimo suggested this in the original to-do list, but nothing really came of it. - EspioKaos 18:29, 9 November 2007 (CST)
