**** Yeah, Using 5/10/20 Vulcaline, two stacks of 99 saw me get two Mikumiko Set. Seems fairly obvious that the higher-value stuff you donate, the higher the chance at something is. Question is whether things have a minimum before they're possible to get. - Miraglyth 10:53, 3 February 2008 (CST) | **** Yeah, Using 5/10/20 Vulcaline, two stacks of 99 saw me get two Mikumiko Set. * I checked the Perfect Bibles section on Shitenkaku, but it doesn't seem to offer anything useful. To sum up the little paragraph on it: "There's a box. Put stuff in. You might get something back." <_<; *cough* Yes, well... I guess we could always just start a table of findings here on the talk page like what you've got up there to keep track of what we offer, its sell back price and what we got. - EspioKaos 11:40, 3 February 2008 (CST) | * I checked the Perfect Bibles section on Shitenkaku, but it doesn't seem to offer anything useful. ** Can't say that'd be particularly feasible. Arguably a better long-term study would be, say, donating things worth x, y and z over time (say, 1000 meseta, 10000 meseta and 100000 meseta) then after a few hundred trials of each, noting the apparent probabilities of various items to very loosely model how much the value of an item matters. - Miraglyth 11:43, 3 February 2008 (CST) | ** Can't say that'd be particularly feasible. *** Good point. As you said, though, it'd be a loose representation of probability, so it might not get us too far in finding out exactly how the box works. It really seems that the item you receive is completely random and the value of your donation only affects the probability of anything dropping from the sky. (Much like how your Photon Fortune affects the "drop anything" rate of an enemy.) I mean, so far we've seen the jukebox discs drop from donations between 4000 and 6000 Meseta. And those two Mikumiko Sets you got from Vulcaline stacks; given that you went up to a max of 20 per stack, that would've been 8000 Meseta at the most. (Do you remember which amount of Vulcaline gave you those, by the way?) Anyway, I'm keeping my eyes open at different boards for other player experiences with the box. - EspioKaos 13:05, 3 February 2008 (CST) | *** Good point. Minimum Offerings?
"Developer interview of a certain magazine Dedication is dependent on the NPC selling price."
Is what an lol browser translation of the JP wiki says. (某雑誌の開発者インタビューより 奉納はそのNPC売価に依存している。)
So is it based on NPC prices, with a minimum requirement before x reward becomes possible? If so, might be an idea to chart the minimum known offering with which someone's got an item. For example, my recent visit:
Item | Lowest known offer |
---|---|
PSU Disc 12 | 4000 |
PSU Disc 13 | 6000 |
- All of the above - Miraglyth 08:08, 3 February 2008 (CST)
- Last night was the first time I really messed around with the offering box, and for once got some stuff from it. Started off with me finding a Caster Line after beating up Mama Brain. It was neutral element and had much lower stats than my current line shield, so I decided to offer it to the Holy Light. I ended up getting a Mikumiko Set. Then I went back to my room and started digging out the old weapons and line shields I'd never use again. Yamata-senba, Gudda Gant, Double Saber, a few Serdotes, a Mayrod and more. Out of all of that, the only thing that didn't give me anything was the Double Saber. But for everything else, I got a CAS-miko Set, even more red and black Mikumiko Sets, three of PSU Disc 12 and a Mirei Photo Stand. Luckily, I took screens of some of my offering results. Mikumiko Set came from Yamata-senba and Caster Line (and from one more, but I forget what). Mayrod gave me a Mirei Photo Stand. Serdote gave PSU Disc 12 both times I offered one; I forget what my third one came from. And with the CAS-miko Set offer, I didn't take a picture of what I gave, but I think it may have been another line shield. - EspioKaos
- The Mikumiko Set seems pretty easy to get. I got the Pink / Red one with 5 Vulcaline (value 2000) and the Yellow / Green one with a [B] Twin Crea Saber (value 1500). Either the minimum requirement thing is wrong and it just increases chances, or the Mikumiko Set (at least those two colours) has a low minimum. - Miraglyth 09:34, 3 February 2008 (CST)
- A Granarod just got me the pink and red Mikumiko Set. I got yet another PSU Disc 12 from a Nokoku-zashi. Also just tried the Vulcaline method, first with 10, then with five, but neither gave me anything. D: - EspioKaos 10:01, 3 February 2008 (CST)
