Maximum Attack X is an event for the Xbox 360 servers which began September 9, 2011, and ran through October 20, 2011. The equivalent Japanese PC/PS2 version (also known as Maximum Attack Cross, referencing the multi-game crossover the event featured) began April 22, 2010, and ran through May 20, 2010.
An unusual device left behind by the Ancients was discovered during a cooperative RELICS investigation by Inhelt Corporation and the GUARDIANS. Known as "Arc," this device is a self-evolving program which adapts based on data input. Following additional research, it was discovered that Arc may be capable of simulating the process used by the Ancients to overcome the damage caused by SEED contamination. Having witnessed firsthand the suffering of Gurhal caused by the SEED, the GUARDIANS have launched an operation to collect data for Arc, hoping to lead Gurhal to a brighter future!
