* Yes.  S-T-H [http://forum.psupedia.info/viewtopic.php?p=3654#p3654 recently confirmed for us] that you can get a rare mission, run something else, then run the rare mission later if you'd like. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 16:41, 15 February 2009 (CST)

* According to [http://xbox360.phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=208 this news post] on the official JP Xbox360 PSU site, we have had the second rare mission finding system (party leader only, based on mission time and number of players etc.) since the 6th June. I guess this can be added to the relevant articles. - [[User:Mewn|Mewn]] 04:58, 12 September 2008 (CDT)

Dispelling any remaining confusion over the current rare mission system

  • According to this news post on the official JP Xbox360 PSU site, we have had the second rare mission finding system (party leader only, based on mission time and number of players etc.) since the 6th June. I guess this can be added to the relevant articles. - Mewn 04:58, 12 September 2008 (CDT)

Search tips

  • When searching for a rare free mission, it is helpful to have a full party of six players. The more players in a party, the higher the chances of a rare mission appearing.
  • Run any mission, on any difficulty you please. The difficulty played will have no effect on your chances of finding a rare mission.
  • There is no need to disband your party to search for a rare mission after clearing a normal mission. Only the current party leader will see a rare mission if it becomes available.
  • The higher the amount of time spent in a normal mission, the greater the probability of a rare mission appearing. However, a rare mission will not appear if less than five minutes are spent in a normal mission. Also, remaining in a mission for over thirty minutes will not increase the chances above the maximum probability of a rare mission appearing.
