**They wouldn't be able to enter the other person's shop if the other person had an AotI room ticket. However, they could easily drop-trade it or buy it from a non-AotI ticket'd room... or so I imagine. There shouldn't be anything stopping them from it. Much like how I drop-traded some Grinder Base S to a white-name friend back when AotI first launched. --Beatrixkiddo 23:13, 9 May 2008 (CDT)

**** In case a reader wanted to ask "How could they buy it from a v1 shop if the v1 shop had no way to get it?" - Someone could have a "v1" character and an AOTI character. He could get it as the AOTI one, stick it in his common box and then log in as the v1 character while playing base PSU. Incidentally, I've always had this thought with items like the Solid / Knight too. - Miraglyth 02:11, 10 May 2008 (CDT)

***** Is it even possible to have a "v1" and AOTI character on the same account? And I don't know if it's ever been confirmed if items that are in the "v1" game data but only obtainable from AOTI missions are actually usable by "v1" players. - Sekani 12:06, 10 May 2008 (CDT)

***** I believe it was confirmed at some point that Muktengek and Solid / Knight - both PSU items that drop only in AoI missions - could be bought and drop-traded with v1 players, but I can't remember who confirmed it. This debate is largely academic anyway, the 5 people who still persist in playing vanilla PSU probably aren't going to be getting their hands on these items soon. - Mewn 12:36, 10 May 2008 (CDT)

***** I thought I read that after upgrading one's account to AotI one wouldn't be able to log in using the regular PSU client anymore? Or does this go only for that one country where they actually had CD keys to go with the expansion? >_> - Tycho 12:56, 12 May 2008 (CDT)

This isn't technically AotI onry, is it? --Beatrixkiddo 22:51, 9 May 2008 (CDT)

  • The only way of obtaining it is through an AOTI-only enemy, so it kind of is. I think. <_< I know the data for it is in the original PSU, but is there any way for a non-expansion player to access the weapon through a player shop? For example, if an AOTI player sells this weapon in their shop (which is in a room that still uses a base PSU layout), would a base player be able to buy it? Or would they not even be able to enter the room of the seller since the seller has the expansion? (I'm kind of cloudy on how that whole thing works.) - EspioKaos 23:04, 9 May 2008 (CDT)
    • They wouldn't be able to enter the other person's shop if the other person had an AotI room ticket.
