A Rappy is a small, yellow, bird-like creature. As a rare monster, they will only appear during a "rare" variation of certain missions from the GUARDIANS Colony, Parum or Neudaiz. During various seasonal events, they are replaced by festiva equivalets in line with the event's theme. All rappies (and their seasonal replacements) have a leader symbol.

Seasonal Rappies originally appeared in PSO Episode I&II, where they would replace the rare Love Rappies (themselves remarkably similar to Rappy Amure). They were Halo Rappy, St. Rappy, and Egg Rappy.

The expansion has introduced a non-rare cousin of the Rappy, known as Rappy Polec.

Rappies have appeared throughout the Phantasy Star series since their introduction in III as "Chirpers", which some consider a parallel with the "Chocobo" creatures in the "Final Fantasy" series.
