Events and Seasons

I've been thinking, seasons and events are really entirely separate things. We've had one of each running concurrently on a few occasions now (see Operation Firebreak and Sonic's Anniversary, or 1Up Platinum Cup and Haloween. To avoid confusion and to better separate the two, why not move all seasonal occasions to an article such as Seasons, leave the actual events (Firebreak, 1Up, Winter, "MAG") here and create a third article for all "minor" events (six demo weekends, Sidekick Saturday, Happy Birthday Sonic! Easter hunt, St. Patrick's, the 2007 Valentine's photoshoot)? - Miraglyth 05:56, 8 March 2008 (CST)

  • I've been considering the same thing over the past few days. Last night I was about to actually start on something along those lines, but one of my friends mailed me in-game and I decided to run some missions instead. <_<; Anyway, I was thinking of using Events for the huge stuff like Firebreak, 1Up, Winter Event, MAG, etc., Seasonal lobbies (or maybe Seasonal events) for the seasonal stuff and GM events for things like the 360 demo weekends, Sidekick Saturday, etc. - EspioKaos 10:53, 8 March 2008 (CST)
    • Overall agreed, but I'm not sure about "seasonal lobbies". Those events are more than just lobbies, after all. - Miraglyth 12:07, 8 March 2008 (CST)

Previous event info needed

Considering that we've got a set mission article template now, I'd like to go back and create articles for the previous event-exclusive missions that we've had from Firebreak and 1Up. The majority of the information I can get from articles here and places like the Japanese wiki, but I'm looking for exact mission descriptions to add. There are descriptions at the official site, but considering how wordy they are, I'm certain they aren't what was used in-game. Also, in the case of Firebreak, I can't remember if the mission field images were in their normal style or if they reflected the fire-SEED contamination with the red sky and burnt ground and all. I know this isn't a very big deal, but I'd like to have these articles made if for nothing more than the sake of history. Any help would be much appreciated.  :D - EspioKaos 20:46, 4 January 2008 (CST)

  • Sea of Fire at least used the normal icon, as seen in this video. I'm fairly sure the others all used regular icons also, but have no screens or videos to show that. - Miraglyth 07:25, 5 January 2008 (CST)
    • Cool, thanks! I didn't even think to check YouTube for videos of the event. We might even be able to pull mission descriptions from them. - EspioKaos 11:06, 5 January 2008 (CST)

Cherry Blossom

  • I believe the 'Cherry Blossom' soundtrack is likely to be meant for Hanami, which also had special lobby decorations on PSO GC. - Tycho

11 of April Easter Event

For this event I was given a Rappy Feather when wearing Yellow and White. Goemon Ishikawa 21:55, 11 April 2007 (BST)

Operation Firebreak

So...it looks like we'll be getting the Ultimate Attack event here. Should I add the little bit of information we have now, or wait until we know more?

  • Feel free to add what you know, also, please sign your comments. Thanks. Mewn 21:20, 27 April 2007 (BST)

Proposal

So I've got a few ideas on some more organization for this section. First moving off the big events from the main page (and maybe giving a short description of each category):

  • Major events
  • GUARDIANS Boost Road
  • Seasonal events
  • GM events

Then have the major events categorized as such and the overview pages categorized into the event category. GM events could also probably use a few separate pages (for example for the current mission spotlight page, the support session info, the statue weekends, holidays).
